Study Room
This policy governs the use of the three Study Rooms located on the east wall of the Adult Services Library at the Putnam County Library System Main Branch located in Cookeville, TN. These rooms are available to the public and are intended for individuals or groups of 8 or less. The intended purpose of these rooms is to provide a space for individuals or small groups to conduct quiet study and group projects.
- Availability/Reservations: All Study Rooms will be available on a first come first serve basis. However, Study Room 1 (closest to south wall) will be made available for reservation. Reservations can only be made up to one day in advance and the room can only be reserved once per day. Reservations can be made by calling the Adult Services Library Staff or reserving in advance at the Adult Services Circulation Desk.

Time Limit: Whether on a first come first serve basis or by reservation, a group or individual will have up to two hours to use the room assigned to them. If there are no other individuals or groups waiting time can be extended by one hour. Use of Study Rooms for a specific individual or group may not exceed three hours total per day.

- Misuse of the Study Rooms may result in the loss of library privileges. Library staff has the authority to expel individuals or groups using the room inappropriately. Please refer to the Library Code of Conduct Policy for rules regarding patron behavior in the Library.
- Any deviations from these rules must be approved by Library Management.
- If the Library needs the use of these rooms for any reason, that will supersede the ability for patrons to use these rooms.
